Eighty percent of success is showing up

To be honest, I rather like DAB radio. But the switch to mostly DAB radios round the house has ended up making our radio listening rather complex - because none of them sync at the same time.
I can understand why a DAB radio and and FM radio are a few seconds out of sync. But what really, really bugs me is that if I’ve got two DAB radios playing, they aren’t in sync with each other either. The result is that we can’t just have the same station playing through the house like we used to with good old FM.
There is nothing, nothing more annoying than hearing the same station you’re listening to coming from the room next door, but two seconds delayed.
This is beyond annoying. Perhaps if we had all the same model of DAB radio through the house? If so - that is perhaps the most evil compatability trick yet. James, help me!
In the meantime, for speech radio - I can recommend the Nevada Sinfonie pictured, which is now down to £39.95 in some places. It nearly has the looks of my much loved Tivoli iPal, but not the price tag (but then again, nor does it have the sound)
